“Black student achievement and BSAP spotlight resilience, celebrating voices once silenced, illuminating paths to greatness, and fostering a legacy where dreams and determination defy all odds.” I will ensure that Black student educational programs receive Need Based Funding, equitable levels of service and district accountabilities very similar to all other targeted assistance educational program. We can no longer allow Black student achievement programs to be dispensible, left to the whim of a budget cut or a cost savings!
Compassionate approaches to school discipline
“Compassionate approaches to crime and school discipline transform punitive shadows into bridges of understanding, turning moments of conflict into opportunities for growth and communal healing.” We must always remember that school is developmental for our students. It our responsibility to assist their growth and redirect behaviors that may be contrary to expectations.
